It's A Sledgehammer
I had one mountain bike from like 8th grade through the first few months of college. One day it was locked to itself, leaning against my window, on the dorm patio. Someone carried it off in the middle of the night (I heard the truck peel out at like 4am) and that was the end of that. I got a new bike, and decided I would lower the retail value and make it a cooler bike by covering it with stickers. So I did. I enjoyed that bike until this morning. No one ever stole it because it gradually became really crappy and anyone would recognize it a mile away. But early this morning, as I went down all ready to bike to work in the rain, I discovered that when our side gate was left temporarily unlocked for a couple hours this morning, someone snaked it. Maldito. So if you see an orange bike, covered with stickers, duct tape, packing tape, rust, mud, grime, and the unholy fingerprints of some local ruffian, get it back for me. Throw dem bows. Also if anyone has a bike (road bike probably) that they want to give or sell to me I am now in the market. Until then I'll be spending most of my time parking my car and writing checks for parking tickets. Speaking of a bike-related story of loss, I refer you to Brokebike Mountain, the latest promotional plug by some friends of mine to raise money to fight MS. I'll have you know I donated back when the thermometer still said $0, so get to it.
I was supposed to go to Hawaii next week to run two games for Nextel, and today it got postponed, and next time it might not be me going there. This is a shame, but at this point I'm never too disappointed to have a little more time in SF. Also I thought I would share a little something I finished today...a little photoshop project to come up with a new portrayal of the main people who run games for The Go Game. There is another group with a similar logo, a similar number of main characters of the same genders, and the rest is history. More about each person is here. Fun.
